After five months the day finally came-I can finally play rugby again!!! I'm more excited than ever! There's no way I would be ready for this without the amazing help from the team at All Around Fitness Center! I would like to give a huge thank you to them for the countless hours they put in with me in the gym and all the crazy workouts they help create to get me ready for this day! As a former competitive gymnast I have trained at many gyms in the surrounding Pittsburgh area over the last 40 years. A few years ago, disillusioned with the "gym scene" I began training at home. Separating work time, family time and training time can be a daunting task! About six months ago I watched the birth of the All Around Fitness Center ("All Fit"). During the six month transformation from a costume shop to an elite family oriented fitness center I had the opportunity to have many conversations with Dr. Kurt Martin and Jay Marston, owners and creators of this unique fitness complex. Their combined academic and real life training background places them heads and shoulders above the typical gym owners. Their awareness of the necessity of creating a training facility that caters to families and their commitment to achieve that end is inspirational! Seven days a week I arrive at the fitness center thinking to myself..."I'm home" ! The video below is My son Michael who just turned 19. He just started training at ALL FIT. I wanted him to train at someplace "special" because he is a special needs young man having been born with down syndrome. He has come a long way since his birth weight of 4.8 pounds! ALL FIT is where he is going to continue to grow and reach his full potential. In the video he is wearing a 30 pound weight vest! No matter where he goes or who asks him how he is doing his answer is always the same, "I am doing awesome!" He is my greatest teacher and inspiration. Currently I am a Division 1 soccer player at West Virginia University where we were the National Runner-Ups for the 2016 season and let me say this gym is AWESOME! I have been looking for a gym to go to when I am back for breaks to stay in shape for soccer so I decided to stop in and see what this place was all about and I loved it! I met the owner and he showed me around the place and it really does have so much to offer for everyone and any type of fitness you could possibly be into!
